Cohere is seeking a Member of Technical Staff, MLE to work on frontier models for developers and enterprises. The successful candidate will work directly with enterprise customers, design custom LLM solutions, and deliver production-ready models. Experience:

Strong ML fundamentals
Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed training or inference pipelines
Demonstrated ability to meaningfully shape LLM performance

Key Skills:

Python
core ML/LLM frameworks
LLM architectures
tuning techniques (CPT, post-training)
evaluation methodologies

Role Focus:

Contribute to the design and delivery of custom LLM solutions for enterprise customers
Translate ambiguous business problems into well-framed ML problems
Build custom models using Cohere’s foundation model stack
Develop SOTA modeling techniques
Contribute improvements back to the foundation-model stack

Additional responsibilities:

Work as part of Cohere’s customer facing MLE team to identify high-value opportunities
Operate with an early-startup level of ownership
