Experience:

• 11+ years of overall software development experience
• 8–10 years of full-stack development experience using Java, Python, Spring Boot, Angular, or similar technologies
• 4+ years designing distributed, event-driven, and API-first systems
• 5+ years of IT-relevant work experience with Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 7+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of full-stack application development experience
• 3+ years of experience with data structures, algorithms, and data stores

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Information Technology

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using modern frameworks
• Lead integration of Generative AI and agentic AI technologies to automate IP workflows and enhance data insights
• Collaborate with legal and IP stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Ensure robust, secure, and maintainable application architecture aligned with enterprise standards
• Mentor development teams and contribute to technical leadership, design reviews, and best practices
• Ensure responsible AI implementation including evaluation, guardrails, and adherence to security and governance standards

Additional responsibilities:

• Drive automation, intelligence, and efficiency across Legal and Intellectual Property platforms
• Build and maintain custom IP analysis applications managing a large patent portfolio
• Operate with a high degree of ownership and manage priorities independently

Nice to have:

• AWS or other cloud certifications (Azure/GCP)
• Experience with build tools such as Gradle and Maven
• Experience with development environments/IDEs such as IntelliJ or Eclipse
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), system design, technical documentation, test case preparation, and test reviews
• Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills for complex production issues
• Experience leading small to medium-sized development teams
• Ability to initiate and implement process improvements
