    Description

    Join General Motors as a Senior AI/ML Engineer to develop data labeling tools and pipelines for autonomous vehicle machine learning models. This role offers remote/hybrid work with a focus on full-stack development and AI-assisted engineering.

    Role Focus:

    • Build high-impact labeling experiences using modern full-stack and/or frontend technologies
    • Design, implement, and test scalable, high-performance user experiences and services
    • Develop automation and tooling for ML engineers to gain insight into labeling workflows and data quality
    • Collaborate with ML engineers to design and integrate ML-driven data annotation
    • Use and advocate for AI-powered development workflows to increase velocity and maintain quality
    • Own projects end-to-end from problem framing through design, implementation, and rollout
    • Collaborate with partner teams to translate requirements into workflows, APIs, and UIs meeting quality, cost, and latency goals

    Additional responsibilities:

    • Report to Sunnyvale location three times a week if living within 50-mile radius
    • Drive code reviews, design discussions, and technical decisions
    • Explain tradeoffs and influence peers while working through ambiguity with cross-functional partners
    • Empathize with user challenges and simplify workflows into intuitive tools

    Nice to have:

    • Experience using modern web APIs such as Service Workers, Cache Storage, IndexedDB
    • Track record of collaboration with customers, product managers, designers, and user experience researchers
    • Experience with computer vision, machine learning, or data-centric AI projects focused on labeled data or autolabeling loops
    • Familiarity with data labeling platforms or tools used by large labeling workforces
    • Experience with A/B testing and telemetry/observability systems
    • Proficiency in frontend technologies like TypeScript, React, Redux, GraphQL, WebGL

    Other:

    • Compensation range: $170,600 to $261,300 with bonus potential based on company and individual performance
