TRM Labs is looking for a Senior AI Engineer (AI Automation) to design and build AI-powered applications and agentic solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with modern AI technologies and a high degree of ownership. This role is remote and part of a fast-moving, high-ownership engineering culture.

Experience:

6+ years full-stack software engineering experience
Experience building backend systems, working with various datastores
Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building trust with stakeholders

Qualification:

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python

Role Focus: • Design, build, and own full-stack, AI-powered internal applications • Develop custom agentic solutions that leverage state-of-the-art AI models • Embed within internal teams to deeply understand their goals, constraints, and key metrics • Own projects end-to-end, including technical design, architecture decisions, scoping, delivery, iteration, and ongoing support • Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to expand their understanding of what’s possible with AI

Additional responsibilities:

Participate in an on-call rotation for internal tools
Triage customer support requests from specific Slack channels

Nice to have:

Direct experience integrating automated AI Evaluation/Testing/Observability suites
