Experience:

Qualification:

• BTech/MTech/MBA/MSc in Statistics, Applied Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Advanced degree preferred

Responsibilities:

• Partner with product, business, and analytics stakeholders to understand key initiatives and deliver insights that influence strategic decisions
• Design, build, and scale eBay's internal AI analytics platform
• Drive the development and implementation of predictive models and advanced analytics to improve targeting and measurement across eBay's Focus Category domains
• Develop and execute experiments and tests to measure business impact and identify new opportunities for growth
• Architect and maintain AI deployment pipelines
• Communicate analytical results clearly, translating complex data findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership
• Serve as a trusted data expert, integrating diverse data sources to uncover trends and patterns that inform business strategy
• Build interactive, data-rich dashboards and front-end experiences using JavaScript and modern charting libraries

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with LLMs (Claude, GPT, or similar) — including prompt engineering, function/tool calling, context window management, and building reliable AI pipelines
• Caching strategy design — experience implementing intelligent caching layers (query result caching, schema caching, prompt caching) to reduce latency and cost in AI-powered systems
• AI deployment experience — shipping LLM-based features to production, including monitoring, fallback handling, confidence scoring, and iterative improvement loops
• Experience with NL-to-SQL systems or schema-aware AI assistants that translate plain English questions into structured database queries
• Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse architecture (Hermes / SparkSQL / Hive) and optimizing queries at scale
• Background in knowledge base design — structuring domain-specific schemas, business rules, and query templates that enable AI systems to reason accurately over complex data
• Experience with causal inference frameworks applied to AI feature evaluation
