Experience:

• 2+ years of machine learning engineering experience in software or data engineering roles
• Experience building AI-enabled features or prototypes using LLMs, embeddings, or 3rd party APIs
• Experience with prompt engineering concepts and LLM SDKs or frameworks
• Experience with application containerization, CI/CD deployments, and Python
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP and their AI or ML services
• Experience with vector databases or search frameworks such as OpenSearch or Weaviate
• Experience developing backend services and building or consuming RESTful APIs
• Ability to follow code review practices, document work, and maintain clean reusable code
• Secret clearance

Responsibilities:

• Train, test, deploy, and maintain machine learning models
• Apply best-fit ML algorithms and technologies to mission-critical solutions
• Collaborate with senior architects, platform leads, and business stakeholders
• Deliver world-class solutions across enterprise and mission environments
• Contribute to ML strategy for Global Defense
• Work with next-generation tooling including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and AI agents

Additional responsibilities:

• Support architecting and building intelligent, agentic solutions across legacy and modern platforms
• Help clients navigate ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks
• Participate in a people-first culture emphasizing collaboration and wellbeing
• Comply with security investigation and eligibility requirements for classified information access

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, or Claude Code
• Experience with AI agent frameworks including LangChain or LlamaIndex

• Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, or containerization tools such as Docker
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• Compensation range: $77,600 to $176,000 annually
