Nava is seeking a full-stack application engineer to help experiment with generative AI for digital government services. The engineer will build proofs-of-concept and internal tools combining GenAI capabilities with open platform tooling.

Experience:

Proven ability to rapidly build and ship full end-to-end applications from scratch
Ability to work independently to turn loose ideas into functional software
Comfort with developing MVPs quickly, rapid iterations, prototyping, and exploratory development

Key Skills:

Python
TypeScript
web frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Django, Ruby on Rails)
object-oriented design patterns

Role Focus:

Develop tools leveraging generative AI to assemble functional demos of government digital services
Design and implement example applications using open source platforms
Support project teams in using platforms and iterate based on their feedback

Nice to have:

Exposure to or interest in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) patterns
Experience using GenAI APIs, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or evaluation frameworks

$127,800 - $135,900 USD compensation
