Experience:

10+ years of experience in building highly scalable Software-as-a-Service applications/platforms
Experience with object oriented programming and at least one object oriented language preferably Java
Experience designing and building backend services using micro-services architectures, event-driven systems, and REST/gRPC APIs
Experience working in Agile environments, driving technical design, architecture discussions, and mentoring junior engineers
Experience with distributed systems and paradigms to build highly scalable SaaS applications
Experience with API development, API lifecycle management and/or client SDKs development

Role Focus:

Lead ideation, design, and implementation of core platform features and modules
Build components end to end from product requirements to production-ready software
Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA, PM, and UX to meet business and quality requirements
Maintain platform service health focusing on scalability, fault tolerance, high availability, extensibility, and maintainability
Define architectural principles, frameworks, and standards
Mentor and guide engineers on best practices and technical complexities
Build efficient components/algorithms in a micro-service multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment
Conduct code and design reviews for scrum team features
Partner with Product and Design to evaluate cross-team and cross-cloud requirements
Influence tool, technology, and testing choices
Drive quality strategy, product, and process improvements across teams
Serve as subject matter expert for multiple products/areas
Verify code quality through manual and automated testing
Participate in on-call rotation to address complex real-time issues
Troubleshoot complex production issues and interface with support and customers
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
Drive long-term design strategies spanning multiple projects
Deliver technical reports and performance presentations to customers and industry events

Additional responsibilities:

Keep critical services operational and highly available

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Salesforce platform, APIs and Agentforce ecosystem
