    Description

    Tempo is seeking an AI Builder to design, build, and ship agentic AI workflows that run Tempo's business operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with AI/ML, data, or automation engineering in technology or SaaS environments. They will partner with operations leaders to map processes, design agents, and iterate until reliable automations are achieved.

    Location: Remote (North America, core hours in Eastern (EST) time zone)

    Experience:

    • 4+ years of software, AI/ML, data, or automation engineering experience
    • 1+ year of hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic AI

    Qualification:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience

    Role Focus:

    • Design, build, and ship production-grade agentic AI workflows
    • Partner with operations leaders to identify high-value automation opportunities
    • Implement tool use and function calling
    • Build retrieval-grounded and memory-enabled agents
    • Engineer reliable prompts, agent instructions, and orchestration logic
    • Design guardrails, human-in-the-loop approvals, logging, and evaluation

    Additional responsibilities:

    • Instrument workflows with monitoring, tracing, and success metrics
    • Establish and grow Tempo's AI Builder playbook
    • Document workflows and enable business teams to adopt and trust the agents

    Nice to have:

    • Experience in the Atlassian ecosystem
    • Experience building automations for finance or operations teams
    • Experience in high-growth environments
